The local community came together to embrace the Christmas spirit during the “Festive Fun at Cassia” event on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025.
Attendees gathered at the Cassia Share Place, where children were thrilled to meet Santa and transform themselves into elves using the AI photobooth.
On Sunday, March 30th, we successfully rescheduled the Big Brass Bangers event, initially planned for last year but cancelled due to inclement weather. Families from both local and distant areas came together to enjoy a delightful afternoon outdoors, filled with music, delicious food, and lively activities for the children.
On Wednesday, December 4th, we celebrated Christmas early at the Cassia Share Place at Cassia Estate. The share place was filled with excited children and families both inside and outside. The event attracted approximately 150-200 attendees and featured the man in red – Santa himself. Families could take photos with Santa and did not walk home empty-handed as each child received a choice of gift (bubbles, chocolate, lollies or a candy cane).
The Share Place workshops took place during the September/October school holidays over two weeks with a workshop being delivered every second day. The program rotated through five free, sustainability-focused workshops suited to all ages including circular rag-rug weaving, bee hotel creation and nature life drawing, denim painting, heartfelt hand sewing, and a cultural walking tour through Cassia estate.
Despite some patchy rain, the event had a great turn out, with approximately 400 people coming along on the day. All activities were well patronised, and staff received several compliments and thank yous from happy attendees.

Originally constructed to accommodate the Cassia Sales Office, this space has since been repurposed into a temporary community facility.
