Nestled in the heart of Perth’s southern suburbs, Piara Waters is a dynamic and rapidly growing suburb that combines modern living with a rich historical backdrop. With its roots dating back to the early days of European settlement in the area, Piara Waters boasts a fascinating history that has paved the way for its growing community and lifestyle seen today.
1. Piara Waters Suburb’s Roots:
Starting with a little history Piara Waters along with its neighbouring suburbs, Harrisdale, Hilbert, and Haynes, were officially announced as suburbs in 2007 and started taking shape to what it looks like today.
2. Innovation in Planning:
Back in 2009, the City of Armadale hit the jackpot with the Property Council’s Innovation & Excellence Awards. They aced it with smart planning in North Forrestdale, creating a whopping 1600 new lots in Harrisdale and, of course, our very own Piara Waters. It’s like our city’s on a mission for smart and sustainable growth – hats off!
3. Preserving Our History:
In 2013, the City of Armadale went all out to preserve the Baker’s House roots. A heritage site in nearby Harrisdale, got a makeover and opened its doors to the public. It’s like a time capsule, showcasing the rich history that makes the city who they are.
